"It almost feels strange that somewhere with a location like this doesn’t sell its soul for the tourist pound, but thanks to good food, good prices and what’s mercifully just a humble nod to its heritage, Albannach doesn’t have to."

"Albannach is stylish, chic and obviously very popular as it was buzzing upon arrival. The food was superb and for a tasters menu very generous. The waiting staff were all lovely and very helpful with everything. Would definitely recommend!"
If you find yourself in central London, missing the Edinburgh Festival and with a serious thirst for a single malt, this is as good a place as any"
"Albannach has established itself as one of London’s leading restaurant and bars, priding itself on its comprehensive Scotch Whisky selection and its showcase of the very best British ingredients"
"The stunning interior steers away from obvious Scottish imagery and memorabilia to create a stylish and contemporary environment for diners and drinkers alike"

"I generally stay away from "posh" restaurants as in the past I have been to a few where the style takes first place and the food a poor second.
However, at the Albannach the standard of ,food and service are all exceptionally high. The decor is amazing and view from the windows across Trafalger Square is amazing.
I opted for haggis with neeps and tatties.(if you have not eaten haggis before, its like mince meat only more savoury and with a richer texture) and a side salad.
I asked the waiter to recommend a wine, and I had glass of their house red wine-I forget the name but it had Cabernet Sauvignon in it and it went excellently with the richness of the haggis.
Not having a starter (though the smoked haddock soup sounded very tempting), I had room left for a dessert.
I choose cranachan as it sounded very Scottish and though the description on the menu was a bit vague, it was a delicious combination of stewed berries (blackberries, raspberries, and red currants) topped with honey roasted oatflakes and cream.
Fantastic! I'll definitely visit again, perhaps with the folks."
